Job Overview:
Line cooks at Sazzy B are responsible for the preparation of our creative and exciting menus during service as well as preparing menu items before service. Line cooks are provided the opportunity to advance their culinary knowledge under the tutelage of the culinary team leaders within the Grease & Honey Restaurant Family.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare food orders during service
- Prepare and stock ingredients
- Maintain clean and organized work and storage areas
- Safely operate kitchen equipment including meat and cheese slicers
- Assist with inventory maintenance
- Maintain stock and rotation levels of food products
- Prepare and present food in a matter consistent with company presentation and food safety regulation
- Maintain presentation and plating quality of menu
Qualifications:
- Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance
- Cooking experience preferred
- Passion for the culinary arts required
- Food safety knowledge preferred
- Better than average communication and organization skills
- Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
